Sri Dashavatara Venkateswara Swamy’s Divya Kshetra
In this temple, the idols of Lord Venkateswara, Goddess Lakshmi, Ganapati, Vishwaksenazhwar, Garudazhwar, and Hayagrivacharya are beautifully carved.
Avatara means the Supreme Being descending to earth in human form for the welfare of the world… According to the Puranas, Lord Vishnu incarnated on earth 21 times to punish the wicked and protect the righteous.
The most important of his 21 incarnations are the Dashavataras. There are many famous temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu and various incarnations in India.
This 11-foot-long magnificent idol, which is in the form of the Dashavatara, is in the Varaha, Matsya, and Kurma avatars from the feet to the waist, while the remaining seven avatars also appear beautifully in the idol of the Lord to the devotees.
This is the only temple and the first temple where the idol of Lord Venkateswara Swamy is seen in all ten avatars.
The idol of Dashavatara Sri Venkateswara Swamy in this temple was installed with great pomp on June 22, 2018. As the main temple has four other sub-temple, Mahalakshmi, Ganapati, Garuda Alwar, and Vishwaksena, it is also known as the Sri Dashavatara Srinivasa Kshetra.
The Lingamaneni Ramesh family worked hard for 18 years to build Lord Venkateswara Swamy, which is perched on seven hills, in Amaravati.
